We celebrated the dedication and hard work
that each of the little ninjas puts into their training here at Cotterill
Martial Arts in Shrewsbury. We were supported by proud parents who came to see their little
Ninja's graduate to the next level.

As well as being fun and challenging, this also raises funds for

Grading weekends
run throughout the year
A grading weekend enables the participants, upon satisfactory completion
of the weekend to attain the next belt level. It allows the keen student
an opportunity to 'fast track' up one belt. Attaining a belt level
generally takes around 3 months following the normal schedule. But don't
make the mistake of thinking that a grading weekend is an easy option. The
weekend is designed to offer a real fitness challenge. Each day begins
with a 3 mile run along the picturesque Wenlock Edge, followed by an
intensive class of revision at the CMA dojo in Shrewsbury. The detailed
schedule is as follows,
Saturday, 3 mile run begins at 12noon, followed at 1.30 by a 45 minute
revision class. . The day concluded with a very light contact sparring
test. Each participant doing a set of 8 x 1 minute rounds, aiming to
finish by 4pm.
Sunday, beginning at 9.30am, a 3 mile run along Wenlock edge, followed
at 11.30 by a 45 min revision class at the CMA dojo in Shrewsbury. At
12.30 the tag tests begins, aiming to finish at 2pm at the latest.
